PX1000 For Sale (soon) advice required.

Hello people,

New poster here looking to pick your brains as from my research thus far you guys appear to the the go to location for the knowledge I seek! (how very dramatic!)

Long story short, I recently dug out my old Aiwa PX1000. I lovingly purchased it many years ago after lusting after it for months. It's been locked away at the back of a cupboard at my parents house for years and years but recently due to the increasing age of my parents they have asked me to start clearing out all my old belongings from the loft. So far I've photographed nearly 200 pc games and console gumpf that I will be selling but importantly I found the original box for my beloved PX1000!

Here's where you guys can help though. I rather prudently removed the battery from the PX1000 once I mothballed it but over the passage of time it's been mislaid. I would really like to get a new battery and test that the PX1000 works still. (I really hope so)

Once I can establish this I will be looking to sell it on. I realise they are quite the sought after walkman and it's in my interest to establish it's operational status before making a choice regarding it's sale.

If anyone could point me in the right direction I would be most appreciative.

I've attached an image as by way of validation.

get rid of that sold sticker. A hair dryer will soften the glue and it should peel off easily. If your selling it on e-bay, if all is good with it, it should sell itself.

Yeah well I'm sure any potential buyer won't want to know how to misspell my surname, so yeah that will be removed.

However, I do wish to determine if it's in a working condition before any attempt to sell it.
