Boxes from carboots last weekend:
Nice tiny Philips D8028
Another Philips D8132
And another Philips D8072
Big cheap Sanyo M-X315L
Another Sanyo M-W200L
A tiny Samsung ST-123LH
Sharp WQ-268E
Total for all the above less than £10 and they are all in good condition and working.
Also found a very nice Panasonic RX-DT707 Cobra fully working and in great condition for £8
And last but not least a Grundig Satellit 2100 not a box but couldn't leave it at £3
The Grundig is fully working got the missing knobs with it, but they are damaged so can't put them back on yet.

i hear that cobras the bomb...nice
Very nice Grundig. Most of the Satellit series are quite sensitive on SW.
amazing that int it.....i go round 6 car boot sales in my area and dont find one.......what the hells up with people in blackpool....dont they throw these things away.......come on give me some boomboxery luv........i need it
Nice to see a Samsung boombox.
Also, another member on here, BENDYCAT has a WQ-268E as well.
And even the Philips website does not have user manuals for mrp32Dave's Philips boomboxes.
Yeah I guess I was lucky it was the right weekend to find boxes, there were more boxes but I had already broken my tight budget and they were all later 90's stuff, all above are 80's I think except the cobra and possibly the samsung.
Great finds!
Love the Satellite.
Those units are usual very expensive.
Ok, it´s no boombox, but who cares.
A really pretty oldtimer!
Congrats!
The satellit looks great. What a bargain!

hi mate- just one question- how the feck do you do it, man????? ive been to every boot in my area and only ever scored 2 baby toshibas (rt80&120s).
send some up yorkshire way!!!!!
andy.
The Satellit is nice but a bit knocked about but fully working, looks quite good in the photo though, the tuning scale windows have gone cloudy though from too much sunlight a common problem.I do collect vintage radios from the 50's 60's and early 70's so to find the satellit at this price was nice
.
I go to 3 carboots every weekend usually see maybe 8 or so boxes but they are nearly always mid to late 90's and not what I'm interested in.
Last week was different same number of boxes but all 80's I bought all of them including the very nice 9191 from my other post
Sharp GF-9191 This week same car boots but only found 2 boxes worth taking a Panasonic RX-FT590 mini with digital tuner and a Hitachi TRK-3D52E both very nice and fully working.

Hmmm
I found a Sharp GF-800 on Sunday for £2.
It has to be the scruffiest condition ever, but I think I can save it. Perhaps I'll get a picture taken of it soon.
Its covered in dust, and there's the obligatory spot of paint from redecorating, but underneath all the dust, it looks to be unscratched, and there are no missing knobs or buttons.
just an update
not carboot but got a gf525 this aft from british heart foundation for £10!
andy v
i get em a bit cheaper coz i know the manager from school days
