Anyway - the carboots have been slow and so have the dumps but you know me i managed to find some

The Philips is a bright, cheerful box! Love the Panasonic, though. Ambience AND a turntable. Quite the score.

Hi Bendycat.not sure about being stopped, reformed maybebut then again u do have something going on there.I like them all the panasonic RX Turntable box my fave.keep it going love seeing what is to be had in your neck of the wood's.

i had one of those philips turntable boxes few years back it was pretty cool!

I think the term 'collector' no longer describes you. I think 'curator' is a better term because the rate at which you knotch up boomboxes is just unreal.

I think it's great, but if you feel you have a problem I'm sure councelling is available.

HI BC..............YOU COULD BE SUBCONSIOUSLY GOING FOR THE RECORD OF MOST COLLECTED..........OR YOU COULD BE OPENING UP YOUR OWN MUSEUM TO HELP PAY THE BILLS WHEN YOUR OLD AND GREY.............OTHER THAN THAT , YOU MAY HAVE TOO MUCH TIME ON YOUR HANDS IN WHICH CASE YOU NEED TO TAKE UP ANOTHER HOBBY INSTEAD.....HAVE YOU TRIED FLY FISHING...LOL .....NO REALY I THINK YOU SHOULD KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND LIMIT YOURSELF TO COLLECTING BOXES MADE BEFORE 1985 OR YOU WILL JUST END UP WITH A LOAD OF BLACK PLASTIC THINGS THAT ARE NEITHER USE NOR ORNAMENT....THATS WHAT IVE DONE......ITS HARD TO DO BUT JUST SAY NO AND KEEP LOOKING........GOOD LUCK

i collect boxes, bmx's sk8boards, hotwheels cars,then there's the carboot gear, the ebay gear, then there's the age concern gardening, work on the car,cleaning and polishing old bmx parts,atr work, being a mod on bmxaddiction.com, posting on 4 different bmx sites, two box sites, and eating, bit of sleeping, so i don't have any spare time

the other boxes that i don't need want in my collection, will be sold to fund some of my bad habits above

I am not quite into the love of every older boombox I see, but I do enjoy the pictures, and also appreciate your enthusiasm.
I dig the flat/square woofer boomboxes. What in you opinion, is the greatest flat/square woofer boombox ever made?

if i could i would only go for the big square old boxes like my 9494 which is my top fav - but i do also like a mini as they can sound great and look cool small

I have nearly sorted out which boxes i'm keeping and then the rest will be for sale

i guess i do collect more than i should, but it may save them from being killed (dumped - chucked - destroyed) and also give some you a chance to get hold of some that you may like in your collection - then ebay - then carboot
