that red sanyo is way cool Nod Yes Cool

ash25 - 2009-10-24 19:33

Which one do you like best for sound?

ao - 2009-10-24 20:44

Great stash of minis, I see you have an eye for the better ones. Some manufacturers saw the mini as an excuse for reducing the number of features but the above units are the ones with those features still onboard i.e. tweeters, counters, VUs etc. Aiwa & Sanyo were the kings of the mini in my view.

walkgirl - 2009-10-24 23:41

I could use that fisher Big Grin

Thanks Agent.
I agree,I think Sanyo and Aiwa were at the top of their game in the Mini boomers.
The Panny RX-D30 is a very very quality unit too
It sounds great and it is built like a brick. It weighs 9 lbs. with out batteries and cost about $420.00 U.S. back in the day. That is crazy money for a mini. Eek

evanelpus - 2009-10-26 04:00

I've got one of those Yorx but mine's a Kreisler.

Thanks everyone. Big Grin Cool

retro.addict - 2009-11-21 12:54

I've always had a soft spot for the 'slimline' boxes, I have a few: Sharp QT27 (my first), Sharp WQ-274 (has 4 band eq), Roberts RSR50 (very solid build and heavy), Triumph SRR1500, Triumph SRR3000 & Philips D8112 (IMO sophisticated looking). Smile

cassettekid - 2009-11-21 14:53

Sanyo M7770K is my absolute Favorite - [has the best overall sound & Power ] !!!
[most feature's, connections - in's out's, stereo-wide, metal, music-search]
{only lacking seprate bass & treble control}-{has tone only}
Always has fresh 6 c-cell batteries in it - Ready to grab an go,
as I regularly take this to the laundrymat.

my Sanyo M7740K is similar to your Sanyo M7755

my Sanyo M-w15F is similar to your Sanyo MW800
of I which I have one in Black.

I have a Hitachi TRK-6700H too.

isolator42 - 2009-11-24 03:46

I've got that Hitachi: a quality effort, for sure. Loads of nice toys & enormously OTT tweeterage Smile
This one is a good example of just how pointless piezo tweeters are on boomboxes...

walkgirl - 2009-11-26 04:11

I do not sleep that well anymore since I see that nice fisher radio Red Face Big Grin

andyboombox - 2009-12-01 05:47

just got an aiwa cs230k, im maroon. love these minis.still has original instruction book. fiver paid.really good nick. only let down is the speakers lead you to believe the sound is better than it really is. still it doesnt sound too bad i guess. Smile
