@brigadier: HORNYPHON was a underlabel from PHILIPS.
Think it was only sold in austria and very less export.

i too once had the same box as the hornyphon but mine was matte silver and labeled philips, a friend got it me off ebay a couple of year back.
it,s not a big unit but sounds great, as you would expect from philips

that spatial sound is king i love it
there,s a rare philips d8714 on ebay uk at the mo buy now £100, if i had the cash id snatch it because it is also one in the philips range i would love.

great pics, VS. I realy like when people are using boxes somewhere outside. What about that mp3 cassette, is it good?
the MP3 tape is nice, if you want to play "endless" music for example on a party.
But i have seen it works not on all decks.
Some of my boxes makes problems, most those with servocontrolled deck...
