Silver ST525, found in dumpster, working, scratches
Salora SKY 810, a really nice piece. Salora is a Finnish brand. Made by Funai for Salora in Taiwan 1981. Digital alarm clock and analog VU meters. Good shape. Webpage with info and pictures from the factory (in Finnish):
Salora SKY 810 Philips D8210 also from dumpster in fine condition. Was our work-radio when we build our house and it took a piece of wood and the handle cracked. And the tapedeck ate some dust so I removed it and put in a cassetteadapter and printed a fake cassette sticker on the adapter. If you look closely you'll see the Sandisk Sansa Clip MP3 player "flush mounted" on the side of the box.
NEC RM-1010RE, got two of these, one is being modified for mp3 playback and improved sound. Quite poor sound despite the separate bass/treble sliders. Stereo spread slider. Alot of inputs and outputs.
Luxor 9556, nothing special...
Nice boxes! I have a similar AKA version of that Salora under the name of Bush BR-5902A. Mine doesn't have the digital clock. The BR-5906A has the digital clock like the Salora. That NEC reminds me of the JVC RC-636 at first glance.
Thanks R.A.!
Yes the NEC speaker grilles look a bit like the RC-636s. Yes the Funai radios have surely been released in MANY brands.
WOW, I just clicked that link for the Salora!
You was really lucky finding that site, it's great to see pics of them being produced!
Yes the Salora production pics are interesting. A real blast from the past.
I think it is a finnish habit to document stuff quite well... at least I do.
