Philips AZ1570, a boring unit




Philips AZ2558, wOOx passive radiator, MP3 playback from CD and from computer via USB (PC link), the best 2x10W ever spent, man this has sound and bass! Does not distort the bass at higher volumes. Pity the bass is not that loud at lower volumes.




JVC RV-NB10W, by far my best sounding boomer. Earthquake bass. V.E.R.Y. LOUD. Poor tuner, eq presets suck, info screen is terrible

The JVC is my favourite there!

...that white kaboom is a beautiful unit. I have a silver one and a dark grey and I am looking for a white one. It definitely has the best bass of any box I have heard.

Yep, the JVC is my favorite sound wise too. But i like the classic ghettoblaster look much more!

looking through the & posts of your collection, the JVC will stand head & shoulders above everying else (apart from the w00x Philips that might come a bit close).
Bang on about the tuner... poor sensitivity.

Still, I miss mine now...

Isolator, there is more to come, havent had the time to post them pictures... but youre right about the JVC, real pity about the tuner because i like to listen to radio and it is quite a nightmare with it...

The Philips does not get close to the JVC in the bass department. The tuner is much better. Its a bit unfair to compare 60 watts against 20... (total)

Do you have a panasonic rx dt680 in your collection? That box rocks in the bass dept. too. And unlike the kaboom the power dosen't rolloff as it's turned up and it still barely distorts.

No i dont have that Panasonic but i bet it does have bass! But its a three piece unit with decent speaker cabins...

Nothing wrong with the new school box's but i still love the oldschool one's,but it's nice to see where they are going in terms of the Ghetto blaster.Two thumb's up for the Jvc Kaboom well made and quality wormanship.
