not a bad job you done there BV....i like the cassette deck surround....must be the clear real tape inside..............kool
I would recommend chroming the woofer bars too, that way they would stand out better from behind the mesh.

Thank u guys very much for warm words! Bogdan, big surprise to me, but it is working fully, and there's line in function, it is very important for me. Reli, i wanted to remove those bars, but now i think original look is original and it's pretty ok for me. And in real u can see them very clearly, not like it is on these pics. R.A, yes, it came without that plate (question is WHY?!
). I don't have right equipment and enough of patience to make a new plate from piece of aluminium, i used black DVD boxes and chrome sticker there:].That black plastic is very easy material to work with, i made all holes with simple hobby knife's blade, u can cut it like a thicker paper:]. Butt still, lot's of problems with this unit. Battery cover is missing, contacts there are fully rotten because of acid, wires of battery suply inside are missing (again, why??), main speakers had some seriuos holes, could not find any new ones yet, but i glued old ones and changed tweeters (sound is ok). I don't realy need the possibility to use cassettes, but anyway, new cassette door (made from old turntable's broken cover) is not working, it is just mounted with double-sided ducktape. One casette knob is missing, no antena etc..:]. But this box is my mate's-bbx collector's gift, and there's lot's of fun for me to work a bit with such condition boxes;].
BTW, i always thought, Montana, or Krylon spraypaints (which are so popular in the street art) are best for bbx repainting to, but it is not like that. Car paint brand Multona is the real **it! After 5 mins u can spray on a second layer, couse the first one will be almost dry already. Even if it is winter. And those sprays are much cheaper.
