Found the dirtiest box I've ever seen at a carboot today A Sanyo M9990K, got it for £1 so who cares what it's like. Got it home and after some switch cleaner the radio works well, I was very surprised it worked at all as it's been kept somewhere damp lots of corrision on the chrome trim.
Here it is.




















Several hours later managed to get it looking like this, it was just as filthy inside, was going to get the deck working but I'm one belt short i'll do thst some other time.














It's never going to be nice as it has some nasty corner damage and nicks and scratches, rusty grills and I haven't finished polishing the chrome trim probably leave it now until I get the missing belt, but for a £1 it's great.

Where are you in the UK as I have a cosmetically sound one with internal issues which you can have if you collect?

does that Sanyo M9900K come with a fine-tuning
knob -- you know, for shortwave and medium-wave
activity? I know other, typically lower-number
models (like my M-1770K and the M7900K) come with one (quite handy).
