These are cool machines,i used to have one, bought it for £15,sounded great, simular to the 8989,it was mint when i bought it,but over time the front panel started getting pit/rott so i sold it,thats the worst thing that happends to them and theres nothing you can do about it..
aahhh!!! beautifull manchine lav. nice pic thanks for sharing.
i always fancied on of these lav but never got round to it
cheers for the comments guys
also goy my blockbuster today from the depot, very nice undamaged too, just at a cost of £42 quid
AWESOME BOX! congrats
thanks muto
and ade maybe one day i will give one of them eggs a go
or maybe i won,t
Good box, the 9797. Sounds good, look`s good. I had a beauty.
thanks litfan
No probs. The 9797, share`s the same deck as the 8989. Just a slight difference in pause buttons. I used a scrap 8989, to repair my 9797. Perfect.
hey cool stuff, i thought the 9797 looked similar to the 8989 as iv,e had both, the 9797 is better in my opinion though with more functions, and of course the very cool digital tuner
I agree. Though, the digital tuner on the 9595, is better quality.
never had the 9595 litfan but maybe one day
Get one, if you can. Old style piano key cassette, but, solid. Ben (royal), took the speaker grilles off his.
i do like the gf models litfan, had a few and i love the 9191 i have
i believe the 9696 is the top 1 but i don,t like the look of it
would,nt mind a 9292
These gf`s are ok. The only problem, is, the capstan idler, which perishes over time. Replace this, your`e away.
cheers for your input LITFAN
I like it has a hitachi look about it though or visa versa, i did have a chance last summer to buy a 9696 the misses though would'nt hear of it he was selling it for $100.00 can and darn near mint too

Now WHY doesn't the Sharp GF-9797 tune shortwave
(designated "SW") as well as tuning or INSTEAD
of tuning longwave (LW)? Is the '9797 a Europe-
only model? I ask because most vocal-content LW
broadcasts (news, music, etc.) transmits inside Europe and often doesn't reach the New York City area of North America where I live.

Keep them coated with wax or even head grease.
