Just got these..the origonal price was £300 but with a bit of nagotiation,got the price down to £250..the main ones i really wanted was the Sankai,Crown and Aiwa,but the 9500 and 575 is kool aswell,now i think thats it for me for a while,skint now...

i know it sounds like alot of cash but if you think what the crowns sell for alone,say for example £100-£200,it makes the others look pretty cheap..

absolute bargain that sankai is a beauty, 5 lovely boxes there at what i consider a giveaway at that price good score G,MAN congrats

cheers guys,was a bit nervous what people would think about me paying so much for these but the sankai,crown and aiwa were well worth it on there own,the crown is pretty mint,the others are also in cool condition,hey doc,i do have a sony P200 cybershot,7.2mp,but not had it long and i'm not sure how to use it proppa yet,the dark room did'nt help either..i'll have to take some pics outside,see how they turn out..

Right..here is some outside shots,i think my camera is pretty poor because its not capable of doing a close up with a wide angle..anyhow,this is the best i can do guys..

Really nice, they all look like minters, where did you pick them up from ?

got them from an old friend doc,known him for years,he gave up collecting years ago but stored these in bags in a cupboard,he only just came around to selling them because he's moved around alot..he still has some left but he does'nt want to totally clear them out..said he wants to keep a couple..these arn'nt totally mint,they have marks and most of them have some sort of yellowing in places,the aiwa has alot of yellowing but on the back..

Yeah that is a decent price considering that 3 of those boxes are in high demand. I wouldn't mind having that Aiwa, is the 3D center woofer still working?

Hey reli,for a while there i did'nt know what you ment,but i worked it out..the foams on the bass,they have been replaced,so the bass speakers are new and mint..but i looked in the grill in the bottom of the main unit,its supposed to have one of them passive radiators,well this one has'nt got one,its still giving bass out but its not got that radiator,loks like the foam has rotted,but theres no way this foam could last 30 years anyway,i reckon its impossible to find the right foam for it because its the most unusual shape,what a stupid idea making it that shape,they should have made it round..this is like thin oblong shape,i've never seen anything like it in my life..looks like it will have to stay as it is..

I was playing the Senkei today,it sounded good but not outstanding,so i changed the bass to some reflex ones 30w,the box has got 10x more bass now,sounds like a proppa heavy hitter,and the new bass suit it just great..

Amazes me how many a.k.a.'s that box has!

When it was out, it was probably a top of the line Toshiba.

That said, I can imagine the improvement switching those woofers made 'cause stock Toshiba woofers - at least in the ones that I've had - are only "good" at best. The woofers in the S90 aren't bad at all tho. Still, I've got some black Lasonic TRC-920 woofers laying around that I know'll hit harder.

yes Mono,i'm sure i did see the toshiba version of this box on ebay once..and its strange that the model of this sankei is TCR-S90

Thanks Carvin,i've had the bass for a while now,they were just lying around in my spare room,i was going to throw them but i thought i should keep them for a while to see if i could find a use for them..i think i may have got them out of a hitachi 3D88 Superwoofer boombox about 4 years ago..they definately sound alot better than the ones that were in it..
