I really like this style of the Sharp boxes. Just something about the white speakers with a dark surrounding plastic, it looks great.

I feel for you mate, glad they're not in pieces though, and i totally understand what you mean about being tired when people take the piss with shipping charges and import duty, some of us are more respectable than others. Looking forward to seeing them in the flesh some day soon.

Give me the 999 over the 1000 anyday. The 999, is better built, but the 1000, might just edge it on sound. Might be summat to do with those speakers.

I much prefure the GF999 richard,i dont really like the white bass,and i prefure the bars over the outer bass..

I agree about the white speakers on the GF-1000 not looking as good as the black ones but otherwise the 1000 is such a looker with all those lovely blue bits.

i've spent another 2 days converting the power supplies to run on 240v..i used 2 transformers out of a couple GF9191s ive had for years,and i took another out of a scrap GF700,now they all run off 240v
