Yeah, finally got one for cheap!
The doubledeck version i got twice, but the cheaper one with 1 deck is quite rare.

But here it is:



Good condition, fully working.
Only a few little cracks, like on the bottom of the left speaker.
No problem, i got spare speakers on flea (max, you remember what i told you... )



But it´s more a stationary unit as for outdoor use.
Too heavy + big and the speaker owns no holder.
So a little bad moving and they fall off...



Instead the 2 logic decks, this one owns 1 servo deck



also single scale, not 2 pointer as on the 8734



under pressure



the only thing it makes it better as his sister > the title search system

to be honest:
if anybody could choose: take the 8734
It´s very better featured


But i love both - sisters in spatial stereo

nice lookers Vienna........i had the 8734 but sold it to some guy in austria a few months ago....im not a phillips fan

The housings are the same.
But the speakers seems to have different colors..

I had also big luck.
The speakers on this box are a little rampaged.
But i found 2 month ago a pair for a few euros on flea. First i leaved it, then i thought maybe...

Congrats Roman,that philips is a great box ! the D8734 does look better but i think the D8718 has got better sound..

Look at the different speakers in the comparo above.
Never thought they would be different inside.
Must be the reason for different sound.

btw: remember the D8734 from a James Bond movie..

Yes i do remember seeing a 8734 on a bond movie,cant recall which bond movie it was,i think he was on a boat ?? wonder if anyone has a caption of it with him using it ??

The speakers on your 8718 look like they are faded,they should be blue,all you need to do is get some blue food dye and a (very soft) brush and re-colour them,i've done it with a box i had with faded bass,it worked well..

well you know where i live DOCS, and if it does,nt sound as good as i am always banging on about...you can come round and shoot me
when you get it, whack that spatial stereo feature up and you won,y hear a better sounding box, especially for clarity, it,s not too shy on bass either
