This weekend I try to make a nice picture from
my boombox collection!
Hey there ppl. Long time reader, first time poster.
Here are my boxes:
The FH-5 I found exactly the way you see it, without speakers or brackets, for 10 bucks at the flea market.
Without speakers, I had to hook it up to something... I was amazed it could handle my
Dynaco A-40XL speakers you see in the pic, with power to spare. So, it's now become my main system. The Sony FH's are really something.
You can also see I'm a Sanyo guy. I used to have a couple more...
I'm the 2nd owner of the big silver one, got it in 5th grade...
welcome plasmadis!
that`s really one serious collection you`ve got there.wow!
and...the dynacos are legendary!!!
That Sanyo is very nice! And you're dead on about the Sony's! They don't get much love but they deliver a knockout punch!
And more importantly...Welcome aboard!
Welcome aboard, plasmadis! Can I have your Sanyo MX720?

Don't know how I missed all this stuff ? This is the first time I saw all these replies to me and comments in this thread ? I thought I came back and checked it out but I judging by all the replies I missed I doubt it. Anyway sorry it took me so long to reply LOL
Here goes
RA Thank You
I love the JVC but it needs to have the chrome restored (I would love to find a place that does the Vacuum plating for plastic. The Lloyd's I love too but it needs a deck door and it has a bunch of sound issues like the stereo mono switch is beat
I still love them both though
Ghettogas... Thanks Bro not much Disco or funk although there is some in there
Mainly rap and club (Latin Freestyle)

The LOT
Pepino Na not a DJ just a music nut
I did spin a little as a kid just messing around with friends but never spent the money for the gear ? Always had a bunch of records but just never DJ'ed It's funny too because my DJ friends would always come by and borrow my vinyl and never bring it back (NO LOL) This destroyed my music collection and made me bitter for years about buying music. Then about 4 years ago I started to hit some flea markets on the weekends and records were $1 a piece (sometimes less) and I was finding all my favorite titles so I began to re-collect the stuff I had and loved as a kid. I remember the first record I bought when I got back into it (hashim - al naafiysh (the soul) and my wife saying "What are you going to do with one record ? My reply was "I don't know probably get more and listen to them" LOL At first she was like "GREAT another hobby" but she loves the records and so do my kids
My 3 year old knows all the words to Captain Rock by heart LOL And the crates are how I used to keep them as a kid even though I wasn't a DJ
What did you spin ? Still got stuff ? I also have 3 crates of classic rock (all the Zeppelins, Ozzy, Sabbath, Journey, blah blah blah and a about 15 crates of rap 1980-1993 then there are a few other crates of stuff like male R&B and female R&B and some 80's pop (cheesy I know)
Anyway thanks for all the great compliments and sorry for the delay in response
Also all the collections in this thread are CRAZY ! Nice stuff guys
Brian
