thought id post up a few pics of my recently aqquired sanyo and unisef, the unisef was a trade with DOCS, and the sanyo was a recent ebay purchase which i got for £49...not bad i think, although it has a couple of issues, dead deck and ariel tip absent
the unisef is an eye candy box, it's in great condition and fully working, although the sound is not the best iv'e heard but i love the look
iv'e borrowed a camera for the pics and the quality is'nt too good, but anyway enjoy

Those boxes are fab, especially the Unisef. I've always loved the look of that box. Your Sanyo looks to be in really good condition, like mine. I notice the clock isn't on. I've got a duracell keeping mine on, it's been in over a year and the clock always keeps its time. My M9990L doesn't have that flat rectangle at the top of the cassette door, it's got lines all the way across.

nice radios lav, the 9990 a classic and the unisef although cheap and light, very nice colors on it, keep them cool.

and ye the unisef is'nt the best made box but it looks great and is in a1 condition, cheers guys

Very nice indeed, that Unisef looks lovely. Know what you mean on sound, I fired up my Crown 5100 last night (same box apart from colour) and the sound was as underwhelming as I remembered from last time I used it! Just loud and midrangey, no real bass or high highs. Love that Sanyo those VU's look ultra cool

cheers 2STEPPA, ye your right about the unisef being loud and midrangey, i used to have the crown once too but it was dead, exact same weight as the unisef though the trc931 i had blew the socks off the unisef

I have to ask, Lav... which box sounds better - the Sanyo or the Unisef? I'm bearing in mind the Unisef has 8" woofers, and the Sanyo has 6.5".

I must say that it's been hard for me to believe the Unisef and Crown sound as bad as people make out - especially as they're so big and have an equalizer.

that's easy for me to answer RA, the sanyo hands down mate, the unisef sounds crap but it looks a real beauty and that's the only reason i wanted it, purely for it's looks
