Nothing special for many members, but very spacial for me - this is my first Sharp! A Sharp 8989. A month ago one of my colleagues called me very early, it was sunday and i thought like "c'mon, what a..", but soon i heard this: "yo, i'm at flea market (in the city, which was 150 km away from me), i've found a oldskool Sharp for you, it is..wait a second.. a GF 9898. Is it good? I can pick it up for ya, if u want. Price - 30 bucks". Wow, that was a really nice surprise from a guy, who knows only, that such things like bbxes are existing, and he knew, i'm collecting them. "Yes, please pick it up, mate, thanks allot!!!- i said..
Actualy, Sharp was in fully working order,i was suprised by its nice sound, but it had lot's of scratches, carrying handle was missing, no antenna..Anyway, i was happy with my first Sharp and next day i decided to work with it a bit. I've tryed to check a carrying handle from one poor Philips donnor - what a lucky bastard i am:

Big SHARP logo on top and that Plasmacluster are 2 pieces of 1 sticker, i've found it once on the big industrial air conditioner

For better aesthetics - DIY reel cassette. Paper discs spraypainted with same silver spray i used for Sharp painting. No Sharp sticker unfortunately, but GS looks ok too, i think:

hehe thanks! Im using german made Multona car spraypaints only. Lots of colours, dryes in seconds, very "user friendly" sprays. This one's code - 0691.

You really have imagination man, with that GS cassette! Unfortunately the "reels" are not moving for the time being,right?.

Thank's, man. I don't really need them to spin, but it is possible and easy to do - glue that "reel" onto tape's roll, add some clear round plastic to avoid friction and scratching - that's all, it will spin like a real one.

ooops.. yes it is, Torres. This is for my "line in for dummies" - on/off for cassette motor. I'm connecting mp3 via Mix Mic socket - it works only, if cassettes "play" is "on". For saving batteries i can switch the motor off
Btw, a little offtopic - unusual cassette with some nice arab writings (sorry to all G.W.Bush & T.Blair fans if it is insulting u)

Actually, cassette is from Lebanon, my gf's sister was visiting this country about 10 years ago.
