I received my US$35 Pioneer CK-5 in the post today and I'm a very happy Gluecifer!
Even though she needs refoaming, new antenna, volume slider and some vigorous cleaning she's all 100% functional!
(I've already taken out the chrome tweeter rings)
I really thought there'd be more wrong with the internals, but thank's to Prime's marvellous refoaming guide I'm confident I can get her back up to spec! Can't WAIT to get this one booming!!
Rock On.
Hey, nice shot!
Good looking!
you GO Glue !!
an all-time winner box
WOW!!!! thats a great find, good job!!!
Congratulations Gluecifer, on your new addition. Having recently aquired a mint CK-3, I can tell you Pioneer didn't hold back with the design and construction of this line. Best wishes for a successful restoration, it will be well worth it!
thats beautiful,i bet it sounds fantastic!.
Great find for this price
.
They are so rare here in Austria , i have not seen or heard one ever here .
Very nice score. Did you get the battery case with it or just the cover on the back?
After the refoam you will be blown away by
the mega tight bass these things put out.
Congrats Gluecifer, nice skore.
Nice pickup Rick. Love those Pioneer boxes. Look forward to the update when the speakers are sorted.
That is nice and the price is right, I can keep this ryming up all night. Dunno where that came from...
Really is a nice box, and with a little work... a real jewel!

Only the cover unfortunately, yeah can't wait to hear her properly. Already on the hunt to get some foams.
Thanks for all the kind words brothers!!
Rock On.
You got a sweet deal good luck on the project.
Welcome to the club! And mine came from the land down under as well!!!
That Pioneer series must be extra rare 'cause they don't pop up that often, if at all.
Congratulations.
