JVC passed along a few pics for me to upload for him. One is the apparently super-rare JVC RC-550 with white speakers! Click on the thumbnails for larger versions.

The RC-550 is nice indeed but the dust cap on the mid. speaker is a bit small, over all it is rare. Back in the dayz all you would see is the standard black on black.

That can't be the right dust cap!?

I mean the smaller speaker has a larger dust cap. It looks upon closer inspection as though the dust cap isn't there. Can you let us know JVC?

Great collection by the way. I have all of these and love them to bits.

I examined some pics from the common black on black model and the dust caps on this white speaker version do indeed seem like the correct sizes.

Hi. The dust caps as the speakers are MINT and ORIGINAL. Seems smaller because the contrast between the black and white.Looks very elegant with white cones indeed. First one i own and seen like this-same with silver version,very rare. I think if the silver version was in North America the final price was over $1500.
