i just got the toshiba with the remote. whoo hoo!!!! a friend of mine is on tour right now and picked up a couple boxes and this is one of them pix to come.

And also on the top left of the tuner band....when stationary, it shoots the beams to the right as mentioned, but when out of the box, you point it to the top left and it handles the IR commands......

well i have to say. i just finished listening to radioheads new album thru it, my m90 my c100f as well as my 492 and it can hang!!! some are louder but this box is cleaner @ higher end. im very impressed.

that comparo can also be said for the toshiba S90 --
so maybe the S90 and yours have the same sound --

Can you take a picture for me? I need a shot inside the tape deck housing, the one I have is a basket case and I'm trying to see how the spring attaches and the slides mesh together. Here is the areas of concern in red, this is straight from the service manual. Some jackass really screwed the deck up. Most of it works, but I'm having problems with the drive. Not sure if its visible but I figure I'd give it a shot....
