I was out on my weekly boombox hunt today. I found this rare little Aiwa CS-R10. I've seen and wanted one for a while so I was pretty happy. I got really happy when I got it home and found that the full logic cassette deck and radio are 100% functional and even has the original antenna!!!!!
It is really clean and I was lucky to have an original Aiwa ac power adapter that I had been saving for a rainy day. I've been pretty luck the last couple of weeks finding some pretty cool units. Heres a pic. [URL=[URL=http://imageshack.us]
very nice skippy .
And where is this St. Vinnies you speak of?
Nice find Skip! I wish I could buy some more but I'll be cooling my heels unless something really special (Black CP-7? Anyone? Anyone?) comes along.
Cool little mini, the deck buttons are unique!
I'm sure not telling you!!!!
Maybe I can get another Vector or better yet the black Sansui CP7 in black that I saw today for $10.99 an decided I didn't need it or know anyone who would want it.

Love the button layout of the deck.
It's rare for me to see a mini with full-logic autoreverse deck. And not need service !!!. Your are really lucky !!!!
Nice baby.
Thanks Success, yes it is pretty amazing the deck worked. That's usually the first thing to stop working.

Very cool skippy, I like that mini.
To find it in nice shape, fully functional and complete is awesome.
I'm not a huge fan of minis, but there are a few that I'd love to have. I might have to add this Aiwa to the list. I love those deck control buttons.
I 've always liked like minis, but this one is special. I think it was one of the first mini's to have a logic controlled deck. To find one that was fully functional is really rare and special too. I opened it up the other day to kick out the dust bunnies and one of the rubber wheels on the forward take up reel was cracked so I replaced it,and adjusted the tape speed. It was a little slow and I also adjusted the playhead bias. It plays extra fine now. It's pretty loud too.
