I was curious how many members have boomboxes with tuner windows oriented in a vertical fashion.Here is a Panasonic RX-3940 I found on a recent thrift store expedition.How many others were designed with this feature:

This is the only vertical tuner one I have, I've only kept it in case my TV packs up.

Jovie, Sharp's GF-7300, GF-7400 & GF-7450 have vertical tuner windows (pic below). I have a GF-7400. I want rid of it really...

Are there any high end boxes with vertical tuners? I don't recall ever seeing any.

i just picked up a panasonic rx-4930 today, it looks exactly the same as 3940 pictured above, except it's got a gray color scheme instead of the black, and it's got a balance knob.

EDIT: i just cracked it open, and the vertical dial is actually controlled by a worm gear. it's pretty interesting looking, and actually the gear that interacts with the worm gear is quite pretty.

Can't come up with a high-end box that has a vertical tuner, but here's the Quasar GX-3604, a rebranded version of the Panasonic RX-4930 and National RX-4935F.
