As said above, Roman was so kind to part with his Sony CFS-9000 and today it got here..
I build it up and connected - first thing i noticed: the tuner is awesome!!!
And so is the sound!!

It really is a small unit with very small speakers but boy do they pump!!clear highs very good bass and great mids!
It easily eats up lots of my bigger toys with the awesome sound - build quality - awesome tuner - awesome deck.

so far the deck does not work and i will check that later

by the way , the 7 stands for 7 bands!
did i mentioned that the tuner on that unit is awesome?

sweet ,i know first hand how good the sony apm speakers sound ,i have 2 sets of them with the flat honeycomb diaphram tweeters and they are smooth as silk.

Kid, first...Nice Find! Second...Not an FH-7. It's a CFS-9000. I have the 9900 and it's similar. Quite the little powerhouse!

oh wow -- did not saw that oldskool

now looking at it again in better light i just spotted the CFS-9000 beneath the tapedoor

guess i was mislead by the design and the 7 bands

Excellent BBX !!!!

I have de 9900. The power amplfier is a STK about 25+25W. The supply is hughe, like a music centre. And the power handling of the APM speakers is superb.

Really Sony had built a music centre and packed like a portable.

You need to test it with bigger speakers. I hocked a pair of Jensen and really give them hard !!!!

One of my favourites, a good exaple of Sony styling actually working.

I was lucky enough to find mine with original carry case with shoulder strap.

That carry case is awesome 1!!

With bag it´s very rare.
