A nice mini, with mid-size features.
This nice mini is a Pioneer SK212F, in near mint condition, and fully functional, but dead deck
It's as long as a mid size BBX (my Toshi Boombeat 14 for example)
Ouput power is 4.5W + 4.5W (from recallsharp), but seriously it would be somewhere betwen 1.5 and 2.5 W per channel
This baby has the I/O capability of the mid sized BBX, with Line in/out, mic L/R and dedicated micmixing input with volume control !!
It featrures only a tone control. Then there's a balance and volume control.
It has an AUX position in the source selector.
It has four band radio and led vumeter all over cassette door. Stereo indicator is inside the dial window, green color
Cassette deck is dead of course (I'll service it soon). It has counter and erase method is AC bias and not permanent magnet. There isn't any tape selector ..
Love its design ... It's quite heavy and looks well built. Plastic case is solid.
It uses external power supply. The one I have is original and has voltage selector !!!.
It also came with the pioneer shoulder strap, quite nice as it doesn't have a handle ....
Sound quality is good as you can expect from a mini ... Good highs but no much bass. Speakers are good quality, not rare since Pioneeer has a know-how about this.
Nice catch .... my second mini !!! The other is a Sharp GF-8X ...
Lets see it (waiting for it's deck get serviced ... )
Rear ...
(Note that some controls are "hiden")

That's a sweet SK. I would love to run up on one of these.
Nice catch!
The rounded corners aren't really my thing, but it's a nice simple design. The tuner window and shoulder strap ends are its best features IMO.
Nice box that almost has a 50's look to it, very unique.
I've really developed an appreciation for the older minis in particular recently. Some were surprisingly loud and powerful for their size. Many of those can be spotted from a distance because of their inputs. They were from the era when they thought enough of the entry level offerings in their model lines to actually build some quality into them. Some like my Toshiba SF75 were not only unusually loud but had surprisingly tight bass for their size also!
