Wait. Let me guess. Mister
IRA?
not only does foolish trusting bredgeo send me a pile cash in ADVANCE to find him this common/trashy dime-a-dozen M90 --
but he also sacrifices his entire french collection :
the infinitely more rare Vinix and Delman
like --who else was about to have both of these fellas-----????????
* Now rather jealous... *
Congrats Bredgeo!!
R.A.--
its not always luck or money to score these M90s -
its often a 'who ya know' thing
like bredgeos POS was acquired for 9 beers and a carton of camels --
from local box curator Graham Grail ---
hes got more --anyone ??
Congratulations Bredgeo! She looks wonderful.
What's your next radio to quest after?
Rock On.
Welcome to the M-90 club bredgeo!
.... Ira
Thanks guys! I am off work now... So, home I go and on goes the M90!!!!!!!!!

Sharp GF 1000 .................

Wait. Let me guess. Mister IRA ?
Congrats bredgeo, nice looking M90.
Like I say "everything will be ok, be patient".
Very nice - congrats!
And let me guess - shipping cost more than the boombox itself??
vladi --that part is/was much too disappointing :
these things are not THAT huge or heavy --but the air freight was $200!!!
from three times this distance --Honda sends 700 pound bikes over here for alot less than that !!
we are all getting screwed on these freight charges.
geoffhartwell - 2008-10-10 09:48
nice one brian, congrats
Ira, $200 is less than I thought. It cost me $250 to ship Sharp 9696 to Australia - and it's smaller than M90. I thought the shipping would cose around $300 - since the gas prices have gone up a lot in the last year..

congratulations bredgeo!!
great work of the "Brotherhood" with Ira, he sure is a nice guy!!
enjoy it!
Congratz on the 90 ,Brian
We all knew that you had a 90 comin towards you
You can't fool us
Enjoy
Congrats on the M90, Brian. I do have one question...
did it come with an eject button?
masterblaster84 - 2008-10-10 12:14
I'm tickled pink for you Brian, that is a proud catch for a boombox collector.
Ira probably had that M90 from the moment you sent him the cash. I think he just bought a CD and collected the interest while pretending he was still trying to find an M90 for you.
Shipping certainly seems right next to criminal, I can't believe how much it costs to ship overseas.

It's hard to tell if the eject button is present
I hope it is.
Otherwise , you may buy one from Ira
Come on Brian , spill the beans
How much did it set you back?
She looks great btw
Wow, Ira, you actually have a "source" for gems like this. Golly, I sure wish I had a "source."
(All I've got is the "advanced search" function on eBay and a Paypal account that keeps getting used up. Sigh.) Unfortunately, to sort-of quote Rodney Dangerfield, "Everyone I know is someone who can do me no damn good whatsoever!"
Congrats on snagging the Mighty M-90, bredgeo! A thing of beauty!
my 'source' has indicated that bredgeo cant afford an eject button

also -- it turns out that brian took a big $$ hit in this worldwide economic slump --
he has therefor sold all but just one of his tape collection --
he now just plays this same one tape over and over again -
so he had no need for any eject buttons.
well it was your dream come true and hope you enjoy it for years to come
one thing about the m90 if you are a serious collector or only want one box the m90 is hard to ignore to me its the best one piece box for just about everything not too big not to small and mostly power with if not hi fi just basic kick a$$ sound, nice work guys .
Way to go Brian!
And good job Ira! (Versus your usual body of work!
)
Congrats brian bout time you had a 90 and not the use of your brothers it just isn't the same when it's sombody elses is it, and thanks ira for putting this guy out of his misery now he can throw those awful sharps in the bin
.

Not its own...
The cost..... to be honest with you, I don't even remember how much I sent Ira.... I just know that when he got it and shipped it I got $130 US, or so, back from him.... And that was welcome!!!!!

now he can throw those awful sharps in the bin Laugh Out Loud.
Ehhhhh..... I don't think so!!!!!
So Brian , i know you heard a M 90 before ( your bro's) . Doesn't it freak you out to finally own one
It's hard to resist.
You should see how i am coping.
I play my 2 at the same time in the same room.
Damn , i can't get enough of them.

Eddy, you know it!!!!!!
Even having had/used my brother's, like you and rimmer mentioned... I am still flabergasted on how it frucking sounds!!!!!! It is an amazing analogue sound reproducing system!!!! IT IS!!!!!
The tuner sounds great , Brian but you should try it with a CD player connected to the line in......
Awesome sound production
I am doing better than that Eddy...... I have been buying a lot of Vinyls..... So I got my turntable plugged in and
YEAH BABY!!!!!!
So I guess with the CD player it is just as good without the vinyl scratches!
I will be plugging in the MD later on!
Cool Brian , and yes vinyl sounds better than CD
CD frequency range stops at 20 kHz
A good turntable cartridge goes way higher.
I own a Technics SL 10 with a MC cartridge
This thing has a frequency range of 55 kHz
I know a human can't hear such high frequencies
but it has something to do with harmonics.
