I got this very nice perfectly functioning Panasonic RX-5085 from Ebay for $59.00+ shipping. I've been after one for a few years but they seem like they are junky or way overpriced. I was lucky to find this one for a low BIN. Matrixambence recommended this model to me so I've been on the lookout. It is a nice size and it sounds really nice and can get quite loud and it's feature packed. I like the violet accents and the white woofers and tweeters.

Hey Skip! Very nice 5085!! This model holds a special place in my heart because it was my very first boombox purchase in '82! They are quite the performer, and they look great, and of course...typical Panasonic quality!

Hey Skip, I just realized that we have very similar tastes in boxes. I see you recently got this lovley 5085 as I did, and before that, it was the classy Prosonic 9962. Weird.....
Do you have a "wanted" list you follow to aquire your boxes or do you just get them when a good deal pops up?
