Welcome aboard Cameron and good luck hunting down more radios. You're well on the way already.
And you've already made the best move any new collector can make and thats joining the Stereo2Go community.
Rock On.

Great start and welcome. You've already learned a most important part of this. That's getting them cheap or free!

Hello Cameron!
You would learn like me very fast:
Getting good boxes isn`t very expensive (except rare ones).
The problem is the storage!
But it´s a nice hobby, keep on collecting....
Welcome!
Welcome Cameron! Nice radios there. Keep it up

Welcome Cameron and nice start. I suggest you clear a lot of space aroung your place because it won't be long before boomboxes are taking over!

Hitachi - TRK-5190W - Hasnt yet been detailed - has been my dads since brand new, a souvenir from my grandparents' trip to japan
Sanyo - M9805F - not yet detailed either but still looks pretty clean - thanks ebay
Sony - FH-77 - Not cleaned yet either, but still looking pretty shmick - apparently this box pioneered spectrum analyser technology, correct me if im wrong!
photo with flash to show box:
without flash to show spectrum analyser LEDs, excuse the blurry pic, you get the idea:
Nice Sony Cameron !
I gotta get me a box with spectrum analyser.
Rock and Roll hombre, rock and ROLL! All three are very worthy additions, top job Cammy.
Rock On.

you can probably see from the pic, the Sony still has original stickers saying "1,000,000 Sold Worldwide", "320W" and the classic "It's a Sony!"
i also have the original operating instructions booklet for it

sorry mate but i cant really understand what you mean?
ill have a go at decyphering:
-you saw what you thought was a sony FH-77 on an auction site?
-considered it, but decided you'd stick to one-piece units
-realised it wasn't the FH-77, but rather a FH15R?
haha sorry if its just me that doesnt really understand but is that what you meant??
thanks mate!

looks pretty 'dope' mate! haha
yeh the photo doesnt do the fh-77 justice, making it look like there are only 4 or 5 LEDs in each column but there are actually 15

Dam it must be my kiwi accent haha sorry mate Our mini ebay auction site [TRADE ME]had a FH15 model for sale which i nearly brought. It ended up selling for 51 bucks. I wasnt worried because i generally tend to stick to one pieceboomboxes. Looked almost exactly the same as your FH77. Had the stickers on the front as well.

haha thanks man, good to see some kiwis on here! haha
today i got a Rank Arena portable stereo (not so sure it deserves boombox status, but this thing is wild), features:
-AM/FM tuner
-Cassette Recorder
-5.5" BLACK AND WHITE TELEVISION SCREEN!
all features are working, battery compartment is MINT, looks like it has never been opened!
awesome condition
anyone own/seen one of these before??
also found a set of immaculate Koss Pro4AAA stereo headphones
such a good day! haha
i can imagine how awsome your day was dude, very very nice find
