My first few come out to play in the sun...

ewen - 2008-09-20 07:03

It's a nice day here today, so thought I'd share the first snaps of my collection (5 weeks in). Please excuse wonky shots/glare - I'm sure my camera skills will improve.

Also - not sure how to make them smaller just yet, sorry. Hope someone can advise..

Awesome collection Ewen! I can appreciate quite a few of yours, and the Helix and GF-9000 are pure brilliance. Excellent stuff.

The easiest way to resize images is to open them up in Paint. Paint will be under Accessories off your Start menu, or as option on the image to 'open with' when you right click on them. From there select 'Image' up the top in Paint and choose 'Stretch/Skew'.

From here you just input the percentage reduction you want (make sure it's the same for Vertical and Horizontal), click OK then save. Always good to save it as a different file name too so you don't overwrite your original raw image.

Great collection and pix!

Rock On Ewen!

I love your high pixel pictures ( 1600x1200 )
I enjoy them on my new 24 inch sreen with its resolution of 1920x1200 pixel

ewen - 2008-10-01 14:37

Thanks guys.. I have to say, I find this site and the members totally inspirational, informative and down right friendly - just happy to be a part of it and although my friends think I'm off my head, it's great to find others who are passionate about BBXs.

Henry - as Eddy says, I guess my GF9000 may have lived in a conservatory at some point or something like that.

Eddy - I knew someone would spot it, they are Infinitys, and I have since dropped another 2 in the middle too as thats my party/entertaining box (until someone sells me an M90!).

Djyetix - thanks, just got a new camera (Fuji Finepix Z100fd) so testing it out. And you English is just fine - far better than my German. Alles klar is as good as it gets!

Vladi - you are soooo right, and I am currently in negotiations. Wink

DM4U - I take it you must be James and that you are referring to yourself in the 3rd person? Hope I have got that right!
So, of the 3 Sharps:
9191 and 9292 sound the same and I really like them both as they have such nice bass for their size. Need to get the various settings out of neutral position to get the best out of them (i.e. satisfactory high end)though. I'll always lean towards my 9292, but that is for aesthetic reasons (dust caps, LED VU) and condition as opposed to sound.
The 8989 sounds more sorted in terms of power to control balance i.e. turn volume up high and it can sit there all day without problems. Bass not as deep and rich as the other two, although much clearer and better treble with everything in neutral setting.

Hope that answers the question!
