This one has been on my short list for a while, but the opportunity came up and I snagged this clean ass unit up.
It seems that latley there's been a lot of members scoring these bad boys and I'm glad I'm part of the club.
This box came extremley well packaged and I appreciate the care the seller took to get it to me safely.
Here are some pics
Double boxed with bubble wrap and peanuts
Second box with bubble wrap and foam surrounding the whole thing.
BAM!
Sounds great. It's one of the boxes I dont have to turn up the treble all the way to get good highs. Bass is good, but I put it up against my 20/20 and the Rising takes the honors in that department.
I really enjoy the sophistication this box exudes. It's classy and built well. Glad to have it in my collection.
Heres a little gem I picked up not too long ago a Panasonic F3 courtesy of The Sucka MC himself Skill Phill. And this sucka JAMS!
Happy Valentines Day.
Peace,
Paul Z.
Very cool!
Welcome to the club!
I like your mini too, very awesome.
Really is a nice box,... that's beautiful !
Congratulations
Man, every time I see one of those Prosonic 9962's I want one even MORE badly!! Congratulations Master Z, good to see she's found a great new home.
Rock On.
That is an awsome box. Hope to own one soon
I love 9962's!!!
The cassette mechs sound so so so good!!!
Hey, nice fixed gear in the corner of the photo!
Congrats, looks real nice.

The 9962 is an impressive looking box!Your assessment of its tweeters surprises me though. Personally I think my Rising 20/20 has a lot more presence to the highs than does the Prosonic. My experience is that it's not a "bright" sounding box at all.In fact I think the 9962 has weak highs compared to most classic era box.
I'm beginning to think theirs something wrong with mine.I find myself wanting to max out the treble pot.Even so,this doesn't fix the problem for me.The treble control on mine has very little effect until its maxxed out. Then it sounds a bit like frying bacon.
I like both, the big one and the red baby.
Congrats to this pretty machines.
Definitely a nice looking and nice sounding Bomb!
Im listening to my Goldstar TSR 800 right know!
