Cool thread! Can you guys with cobra-top pannys give me the model numbers of these units that have auto-reverse? I'm on the hunt for an A/R deck and one of these might be the perfect solution for me.

Unkle Ed has already confirmed that the RX-ED90 has A/R... Thanks in advance...!

RX-ED707

RX-ES30

The DT75 does too, and all kinds of crazy "synchro" things with recording from CD.

Look out also, for the japan only jvc rc-x777 & rc-x999.

peter.griffin - 2009-01-16 09:00

wow, nice. how did you manage to get one if only available in Japan?

litfan - 2009-01-16 09:15

A good friend from here, got it me off yahoo japan.

lit--thanks f0r posting the 999 shot --most of us will never see one --

They do come in handy! I have four wedges...

all joking aside, thanks for the info on these...

On the prowl for a good A/R deck, and if it can play CD's, that's a huge bonus!

The photo i posted, is the rc-x777. This is the controversial rc-x999, with power adjustable upper speakers. I want one. They sound as good as the dt707, which takes some doing.

How can we not mention the mighty sanyo mcd-950. Here`s mine, undergoing servicing, last year.

we are mostly never pleased to learn that our beautiful old boxy boxes --
just dont 'put out' like these odd shaped egg/wedge jobs , or kabooms or some big bose stuff-
except thats how it is Smile

In my opinion, M90 and BigBen rival a good mid-size stereo system - I had them side by side with Sony LBT-ZX6 - and they sounded very-very decent.
