2 weeks ago i shot at ebay a strange machine.
A MEGAMAX MEGA4000 MultiDancing Machine (what a name).

The shipping from germany to austria is quiet expensive i know.
But it should be no problem, the seller owns a feedback of 100% positive!

After winning the bid, my first mail was to the dealer to take please special care of good packing. I don´t want to get it broken.
He wrote, no problem he will pack it very good.
And so the days went over...

After looking again, the seller fell down to 95%.
Because of bad packing and one of them was a boombox that get smashed...
First bad fears grow up.

Yesterday the parcel came.
My first look at the hole for holding.
F*CK!! Why i can see the box.


The boxing before opening.
Looking very weak, everything rumbling around when moving. Fear to open it...


The first look inside after opening it.
Only a few styropor trash inside, at the side of the box - nothing!!


On the front only a old newspaper, looking like a bad joke.


The first thing that fell out was one of the projectors. Smashed!


Then taking out the box. Something falling around inside. Oh no...
First opening the batterydoor. Luck! Only the discoball was not clipped in the storage!
But the powercable cutted off.


But sometimes wonders could happen.
No real damage at the box!!
Only dirty, but nothing broken around!
So the shippers must have been quiet careful with the parcel!


So the first test after repairing the cable.
Everything works, except the 2 projectors and the tapes (but this was posted before in ebay).


The spots will be replaced against 2 LED spots.
To prevend overheating


The label MEGAMAX is unknown in the base.
This box still exists there as XINGQIU !


The ball and the projectors can be detached and stored inside


OK, this is a chinese box, but i like it


So great luck the box survived the bad shipping boxing.

Wow! Very interesting disco box. I'm beginning to think that the worse a boombox is packaged, the better your chances of not having it break. Weird.

Congrats on your MegaMax surviving the poor packing job Vienna. I like the little box just to bring smiles to friends that come visit. It's a fun box and I'd buy it because I collect Disco Balls and have one hanging in my living room and another in my Boombox room. I know, I'm a bit quirky like that . But, it's fun for me.

Last week i have mounted a new one at home.
Working with colourful LEDs.
I like it.

this is the only disco lighted boombox i think
is absolutely wonderful.
who cares how it sounds it is a real cool boombox.

Glad she arrived in reasonable condition Roman, things could've been much worse!

Like the TEC, arrived at weekend.

And good luck i opened the MAX, because the trafo of the discolite was fallen out of the holder.
This and the other story next week.
Now i´m driving to lake balaton a few days.
