The time is running...
Now i´m going to make my 1000. posting.
So a little comparing of my 4 JVC´s (soon only 3).
They are 4 very different boxes.
> standard stereo
> the biggest Mono
> bassmonster
> heavy 3 piecer
And this are the machines:
First:
PC-5 meets kaboom
both are bassmonsters and very heavy
Oldscool and tube
Both owns their qualitys
The PC-5 will be replaced of the kaboom now
The sizecontest goes to the kaboom
Also against the RC-550L looks the PC-5 small
But in sounding the PC-5 blows it away.
The 550L never can reach this powerful sound.
But about the look, it´s the winner!
Also against the kaboom.
The unique look of the monster mono is simply great
But in sounding (bass+co)no chance against the massive tube
A yesterdays and a future grail!
I like both for sound and look
Nearly forgotten to take the RC-545L out of the storage. No chance against all others. But it´s a real underdog. I sounds quiet good and i like the classic style
So hard to say which box is best...
I like all of them!
The 550L for the biggest speaker ever.
The look ist just great.
The 545L for the underdog and classic style
The kaboom for the modern features and the impressive bass
The PC-5 for the solid making, sound and look
So what do you think about them?
Which one would you enjoy most?
Which other box would you add to this collection?
.....
I would add the M70,M90,PC550 . . .
BTW. Those boxes you have there are all great!!!
wow - great shots and great comparos --
agree that the big mono gets blown away by almost EVERY box
but it sure looks so outstanding -
and - yup - add an m90
my grandfather had one of the big jvc monos. i was never allowed to touch it and when he finally was put in a old age home the radio simply vanished.
Thanks boys!
Starting the next 1000...
Take a look to the JVC-compare Eddy posted
here!I love this video.
Wow, that RC-550L has a Volkswagen symbol on it. What's the story behind that? Definitely a sweet-looking box as well.
Hi xyc0n
The story of the mono you can read
here. The first owner was a VW freak, driving a tuned golf combi.
I don´t want to kill a part of the box history, so the sticker will stay as it is.
