Very impressive, the JVC 550 mono always makes my smile, and the whole collection is top notch.
Lots of double-ups too!
Hey guys, thanks for the nice comments and many thanks to driptip for posting these. I have been a member a few years and never knew how to post photos until I was able to email them to drip and he handled it from there. Yea lots of cash here but gotta love the boxes like we do and at last count I had................. 76!!!!!!!!!! My girlfriend thinks thats way too many but I keep telling her its an investment. Drip tip will be adding a few more photos that I just emailed him that werent posted. Also I didnt take pics of the JVC DP 100 Kabooms that I have since they are in the original boxes and also have the JVC SMALLER KABOOM, RV 55?, I think, the one with the lights in the grills that flash to the beat of the music. I really wanted to take the radios outside but it was enuff just to get my girls patience to get these in the living room for pics. Thanks again guys and Driptip, and stereo2go.
SORRY Paul ill try to post them tonight ,,
Wicked collection Ash25!!!!
Good for you to have put together such a fine assembly of vintage electronics!
I saw at least a dozen that I wanted.
I did notice you do not have many Sharps, outside of the record players, eh?
totally awesome collection
Thanks JT. I have 2 vz 2000s and a GF777 and a GF9797. I would like to get a few more Sharps like the 9494,9595 and 9696. They are pretty rare and when they appear on ebay, seem like always big bucks.

what are those 3 identical silver boxes piled up vertically ?
Red, those are Montgomery Ward boomboxes. Also made under the name of Silver brand. What I find unique about the radio is the power consumption. By far this radio pulls the most power, 90 watts. I think it sounds very good and I had one back in 1983 right after high school. I have a Wards catalog with the box in it and it was listed for 399.00 in 1982-1983. Wow! Pretty high for that store.
ok - thanks paul --
they are really nice looking --
i have none -
but suddenly i need 3

I was gonna ask the same thing. I like those. Different style
Great collection Paul.
Awesome collection.
Hey Paul, very nice collection!
I was impressed to see that you have a Panasonic RX-5250. I always that that was by far one of the better sounding mid-size boxes.

Completely awesome, no dissapointments with your collection.
I'm patiently waiting to score one of those Wards Airline boxes in excellent shape. I visited my local Wards weekly to caress and drool on that box.

Hi driptip-Nice collection! I like the variety.
I especially like the GF-9797 & the Big Ben!
Have a great one-GB.
MB, that was a nice boombo for the time. I live in Western Pa. and lived a few miles from M. Wards and wanted one of those when I first saw it. Bought one new, sold it to my sisters boyfriend who, kind of weird but he moved back to Italy around 1984 and took that box with him. I would like to know if it is still floatin around over there.
Paul. are those all the pics? if you have anymore please send them over.
