Sears 2103

jovie - 2008-09-02 19:52

On my way to Goodwill yesterday,I saw someone selling stuff out of a storage unit. They had pulled a lot of junk out and placed it on large beach towels out in the sun.Due to the sheer amount of items,I decided to take a look. This little Sears 2103 mini caught my attention. It was very dirty but looked as if it would clean up nicely.Fortunately I was right. However,I had to wonder how long it had been in direct sunlight. After buying it and taking it home,to my relief I also found it to be fully functional. It has metal sliders and switches and a very satisfying build quality.Sound is decent for its tiny size.Note the stereo mic inputs. This one isn't in my older 2.0 database.

Walkgirl,
The camera I usually carry with me is not that expensive. It is a Vivitar Vivicam 5355 which I got from my employer as a 10th anniversary gift.It might have cost $50.00 new.Its so cheap in fact it doesn't even have an anti-shake feature. Most of the time I try to not use a flash. The flash on really small cameras usually is not that good if you don't want bright spots or reflected light in the picture.I make sure to have just enough light for the auto-focus to work.Knowing the camera will select a slow shutter speed,I will prop it up on a stack of books or anything I can find close by that will be sturdy.Though I have to make sure not to move the camera while pressing the shutter button, the pictures will come out very clear and much better using only natural light than they will with a flash.Although I use the flash at times,it is usually a last resort for me.
