It has one MASSIVE woof on it. Wood panel sides, metal handle... very substantial. Pulls in stations pretty good. I don't suppose anyone wants to see pictures...

wood panel sides hum?
I hope our prominent lumberjack from Florida is not involved in this one
now come on -- give us the pics!!
Nope..... that is a scary thought.
I don't get the impression that people want to see it bad enough so I will keep it to myself until I feel that you all are desperate...
Wood side panel is seen in Sony early 80s...
pictures if you have em will be nice
The wood panels are actually on the top and bottom... not on the sides... the woof opening is in the bottom panel...
NOT an early Sony...
Just trying to keep you guessing...
You better post pics soon...before Jens reads this and exposes your new box...Jens knows ALL boxes...it's crazy

great looking gear
'how does it sound'?
It pounds.... it pounds...
The tuning knob is the size of a dinner plate...
No guesses as to the brand and model?
aiwa
nope.
spud --you get one more chance !!
PIONEER ??
I am the one giving the chances....
NOPE!
Whatever it is, it doesn't appear to be all that old.
Also, judging by the fit and finish of the unit, it looks kinda expensive.
I like it!
BTW, I also like the Zaxxon avatar!
I put a LOTTA quarters in that game in the early 80's.
A couple more pictures...
Bang & Olufson from Denmark ?
i found zaxxon game....but use/download
at your own risk:

It kinda does have that B&O look doesn't it. It is the best guess so far. But that does not mean you are even close....
The suspense is killing me...... please tell us!!!!!
Johnny < green with envy! BOX looks beatiful!
The sides are all brushed aluminum... handle appears to be cast aluminum....
Nobody's gonna figure out who made that box... However, I've hunted down and spotted that box on a website and also found a rounded edge version:
http://www.e-potpourri.com/index.php/2008/05/20/mini-re...ed-portable-radio-2/Not bad for a cheap box (about $40).
Damn you....
Now I have to come clean...
Man in the first pics it looked much bigger than it actually is!
Nice clean fingernails

I find all of the American money looks the same...whether it's coins or paper...i can't tell the damn difference

The quarter was pretty clever!
Originally, I thought the box came from Cambridge SoundWorks and cost about $200 'cause it looks like something they made... Wood accents and brushed aluminum for under $40 - you can't beat that with a baseball bat! I certainly wouldn't mind having one of those.
Seriously tho, how does it sound?
The speaker is fake.... the actual speaker is behind the center cone. It does not sound ~that~ bad. And it is an alarm clock too. (no snooze though) It runs on 2AA with the clock on a seperate watch battery (all included). The build quality is very good and it is nice piece to look at. You can also use an adapter (not included) if you want to run it all the time. It is kinda retro looking... kinda B&O and Cambridge too. I don't know that I would recommend anyone actually buy it. (I would if the whole speaker was real). But I thought it would be cool to have and you guys would get a kick out of it.
This is actual size... I have little girl fingers...
I've seen those "boxes" on eBay from time to time. The sellers use pictures that are somewhat misleading about the size of it. It looks really neat though.

I still can't get over the size of it:
Dimensions: (L x W x H): 5 1/2" x 5 1/8" x 2 1/4"
It's still pretty neat.
