Hello
Here I want to show you my new sony ZX-7
miniboombox!
Matrixambience was soo super friendly to part with
his for me
I did get it in the mail today, the boombox was wrapped
super well!, alot of foam and poporn, even some
bubbelplastic! ( then I have something to do
later on whilst listening to the nice radio
)
I could not try it very well, because I did not have
the correct batteries, I was thinking as it was
a miniboombox it would use little batteries,
but not this one, it does work on 4 d cell batteries!
well, enough of this, here are some pictures,
but the quality is rather bad as there was bad
lighting in the room
Here is the front of the miniboombox:
Here it is next to my Heru miniboombox:
Here are the 4 d cell battteries:
As you see the tuning scale does go from 76
to 108!!
Very odd as I never did see this before
Here is the boombox open:
Here is the back with all the connections:
This is the manual, Matrixambience was soo
kind to include it with the boombox
I am very happy to own such a nice radio, and
all thanks to matrixambience!
Oops, I forgot a picture from the stereolamp!

beautiful nicolle
In my eyes one of the most beautiful newer black minis!
And i never heard anything bad at all about these in build or sound quality!
Grat catch there!!Wish you a lot of fun with your new miniboombox!
Thank you Felix!
It is actually from 1984!, and on the manual is
printed 1983!
The sound is very good, and the boombox is super heavy, according the manual 2.7 kilo!!
Only the tape is a bit fast, I think it does need
cleening
congrats nicolle
nice one very cute enjoy it
Way to go Nicolle! Now you need a Sansui FX-700R!
Congrats nicolle all you need now is that jvc mini boombox with the walkman on it.
Wow! 76MHz FM?? Must be a Japan domestic issue. Very, very nice!

Baby Boomer means it has the extended Fm coverage Nicolle. Us and Canada Fm Commercial and Non Commercial Stations Broadcast From 88-108 Mhz,The Japanese Mkt Starts at 76 Mhz.
Very cool Nicolle , good to see it arrived perfect. Is there something to receive under 88 MHz where you live
I know what you mean JaredScottfla
But look! :
Thanks Eddy!
Yes, for one silly reason there are 2 radiostations!, one local
and a stereo one
, do not know the
name because I only did listen for 1 minute or so
Probably some pirate stations , and no it's not me
Lovely Nicolle - if ever there was anyone on s2g who will appreciate one of these, it's you
How about that rock steady disc-drive deck eh? Or the plethora of high-end features? Or the sound quality? It'a a little bit special, the ZX-7...
btw, mine came from Germany (an "E" model) & the FM dial shows 88 - 106:
pic of it here
I was thinking it was you Eddy, with all that
hoempa music

Between 76 and 88 MHz should be your local TV stations 5 and 6. (
TV Frequency Listing)
Sweet mini. I bet it runs for ages on those D's
I do live in Holland, we have no local tv
channels anymore via antenna!
Must be a pirate station or so
Oh yes, I do not know yet how long it does
play on those batteries, but I bet long!
