Well since i've been collecting i allways wanted one of them nice 20/20 Risings..
Once i got the 2005 with square grills i thought i was set.Cause i allways thought the 20/20 ( which looks way cooler in my opinion ) would never pop up in germany.
Well, these pics show that "the Kid" finally got one (branded Continental):
It still needs some work.
Need to straighten the keys and some TLC.
no biggie at all.
Missing the antennas and one knob.
Thankfully Blasterpunk has got a spare Rising and hooked me up with the needed parts which should arrive soon -- and he gave em FREE!
Great guy!!
Apart from that it's fully working!
I hooked it up to my Mp3-Player and it's blasting some fine tunes.
I knew that these machines put out some serious sound due to owning the 2005 but i think that the 20/20 still beats it!!!
This thing is really
moving some air and it's knockin' its way to my TOP-3 boxes.
awesome looks meet awesome sound -- makes it double awesome!!
gonna enjoy that one the whole night now!
Oh your so Continental!
Very cool indeed!
I didnt know these were made under different brands!
Me like!

thanks guys!!
Yep, guess it makes me "Continental Kid"
been playin' around with it the last 2 hours and all i can say is wow!
It does have such nice warm deep bass and overall great sound.
Really looking forward to the weekend to give it a nice cleaning/repair
Kool Kid
I have to agree that the 20/20s are fantastic sounding boxes. The one I have (that's operational) is the best overall sounding box in my collection. One thing that I'll be adding to mine is a set of small, rubber O-rings beneath the screws/bolts for the clear plastic front plate. The bass on mine causes the faceplate to vibrate against the body, which drives me crazy.

wow, sound really annoying FD!
seems like the plate on mine is tight enough..did not hear one rattle until now.
But the rubber-o-rings sound like a great idea!!
Looking good kid, nice find!
Go for the LED conversion!
Anyone have an international version? Post it up. I wanna see what it looks like with the blue grills!
Peace!
ill do it later tonite
MAN, thats beautiful...
Nice addition to your new flat
Kool Katch Kid!!!
Congratulations Kid! Love the RISING 20/20, it's a classic ghettoblaster that delivers on all fronts.
Hahah, good to see you solved the vibrating perspex plate the same way I did Bobby, that nearly drove me insane. The REC/MUTE button needed some securing on mine too.
Rock On.
Not only was I surprised with the sound of my 20/20,the quality of it's construction for an off brand is very good.No rattles with mine.In fact the 20/20 is a very tightly constructed and weighty box.The volume control actually clicks when turned indicating tiny defined positions along the way as it is rotated. It's probably my favorite larger box for quality of sound and construction behind my Clairtone 7979.
Cool Kid.

I love the styling of that box...it's one of my personal favorites
