As some of you might know I'm a big fan of G.E. boxes and portable radios.Yesterday I found this G.E. 3-6035a waiting for at my local outlet!Anyone who has heard the 3-6000 or 3-6035 knows that its insanely LOUD and has excellent sound.I now have one of each.For those of you who don't live near a Goodwill distribution center,I suggest you move your permanent residency in close proximity to one of these outlets!

Thanks for all the nice comments!This is one of those radios with nice sharp highs and bumping bass without adjusting the tone pots off their center positions.Also the mids are nice and bright.The line-in is great.The style is very sleek.The 3-6000 and 3-6035 are sooooo perfect!

Thanks for the kind comment Skippy!There's nothing like unexpectedly finding a real classic.This can turn a bad day into one that is really special.I'm not kidding when I say the 6000,6035 is one of my favorite boomboxes in my collection for sound.There's no loudness switch on them because one is unnecessary.They were engineered with a nicely balanced sound to begin with.

When I look around my room at all of my local finds,I try to add up the prices they sold for when originally produced.That would have been so much money!If I would have bought them all when new,I would have suffered financial ruin long before there was collector market for these old blasters.
