thanks to jameswp67 i`m now able to proudly present - the KING arrived to berlin. only you guys can imagine .What a sound - a way better to my GF 777 or TELEFUNKEN M1.

SHARP GF 1000 - very smart - has some optical issues arround the tapedeck section but is fully working
the subwoofers sound a bit better then the gf 777 and i like the blue scale and of course the white woofers - very fresh!!!

last but not least still one of the best soundmachine for me

Cool!! great photos, thanks for the one of the 931 clones! I never noticed the Crown and Unisef/Intersound models didn't have the black around the woofers. I all white woofers actually make them look bigger. Do they sound different?

I like the old Mac, is it a Mac classic, or maybe a mac plus. I just built an army of thos old macs, check it out here.

let`s start small with a SHARP 8989_ it`s in nice conditions fully working with a missing tuning knob


CROWN 300L - very smart midsize box - looks wihte but is fully silver - the sound is quite ok but for me its missing the bass. But for shure a nice box to take walk or go outside for picnic


then i got a ELTA Discolight/Super Bass in perfect condition - needs only a bit of TLC that`s it - for me it`s more the flashy aspect of this box - cause the sound is very cheap but loud


and then i got my personal highlight one of my most wanted arrived today in perfect condition NATIONAL RX 5350 - fully working without any damage - it was pluged in and is now surrounding my afternoon

i went after that crown 300l years ago on ebay.de, didnt win it though. never seen another one, rare as hell. do you mind me asking where you found yours?

i found mine on ebay.de some weeks ago. i do have also the CROWN 350L (with equalizer/music search and more..) as shown above.If i see something similar next time - i drope you a PM

there is a new update:

at first TOSHIBA RT - 8890S fully working, complete and clean, was looking after for a long time and had luck cause it was gone in the first try - a nonpayment trouble from the seller brought it back in the game and i got it for less money then i was planing in the first try


second one VICTOR RC 550 Japanese Version
one of my favourites to go outside!! needs a bit of cleaning and soon i will get a new antenna
comparing both i have to say that the JVC Version has the better feautures but I like the victor logo!

I am a fan of your TOSHIBA RT - 8890S A lovely piece, my uncle have one of this, but without tape cover, antenna, bass, treble and balance buttons... But still making BIG sound!

long time no see in this thread! But there was nothing new to talk about.
today i got my package from peppin with a beauty i was waiting for a long time.

the TOSHIBA RT - S 90 is for sure a nice solid eyecatcher. VU lights and the illuminated adres logo are nuts. the sound is quit clear and bassy.
my unit needs a bit of work and then i will post my complete experiences. but for the first impression it`s a keeper for me. some better pics to come.

in the last days together with some friends we were planing a big photo shooting with a lot of boomboxes. it was quite fun and many people did ask me questions about the bbx`s.i will keep you posted with further informations and details about this project!
