Today i was at a guy next vienna who collects transistor radios. He has a collection from about over thousand (yes, 1000 !!!) trannys! From the 50´s till today.
He has offerted a nice little PHILIPS in the net.
So i took it, changed against a old nonworking GRUNDIG ocean boy for his collection.
I love this babybox, because it owns Spatial Stereo like the big ones. And the Grundig was´nt interesting for my collection.
And that´s it:
The condition is very good
But then i´ve seen something interesting.
An old PIONEER boombox.
Never seen such one before.
The speakergrills missing and the tapedeck is damaged. Play is blocked, so the motor is always running. So i found it:
This box is heavy, loud and quiet old.
Digital display with clock, counter, sleeptimer and many more....
One for TPR:
Look at the microphones in the grip!
Father and son:
Comparing size with the 931i:
The changing object for the baby PHILIPS:
Does anybody own such PIONEER?
It looks like, it has owned a titlesearch function like SHARP´s APLD?
Anybody a picture how it looks like with the original speaker grills?
When i have time, i will open it and try to repair the tapedeck, if it is possible.
You've got a special Pioneer there. I only saw those in Europe! Lucky You!
Thats a real cool looking pioneer, congrats man !

I hope you don't hurt yourself lugging that monster philips around.
Just joking, that little Philips is pretty cool but I agree with others that the Pioneer is really nice.
yup, that is a nice miniboombox!

Hi-That's so cool!
I have the same mini-boombox except it's a Magnavox but I don't have the cool strap that you have.
Nice collection-thanks.
Have a great weekend-Ghettoboom777.
that pioneer is very nice.
the little one is nice too.
also the grundig radio is awesome. i love those old grudigs. i have a 210 satellit
great looking boxes especialy the pioneer sk-61
probably need the belts great find
Thanks friends!
I think it will be much difficoult to get the tapedeck working. I don´t know what people do with their electronics?
The songsearching-button must be pushed so strong, that it broke and fell inside...
A lot of dirt inside too.
The biggest problem will be the missing speakergrills.
Maybe TPR can help me how it looked original?
OK, it looks without nice too...
@ghettoboom: PHILIPS and MAGNAVOX is the same, we know. Today i have seen: The strap is not original. It´s off an MINOLTA camera!
But it fits perfect, so nobody will see the difference.
@billpc,jaredscott: I have stored this GRUNDIG over 15 years. But so it was a good deal. I wanted the babybox and he became the OceanBoy for his collection. Everybodys happy so.
@masterblaster: i think i need help for carrying...
both are very nice, congratulations!

Thanks for the info!
I will look for some bars to rebuilt them.
And in black the cloth looks better.
