Hi-Very nice Sharp!! I especially like that VU color meter.
Very nice find!
Have super week-Ghettoboom777.
Nice one Geoff!! That looks v v clean indeed.
AK is right - mine are white/cream too.
The eastern version of this box (GF535) had black with silver caps so it may be that you have those in it. There is currently another thread going on discussing the white vs. black speakers for these, and Retro Addict should at some point be able to feedback if there is any audible difference as I've sent him the black set to try out instead of his white ones, as he wanted to give it a go.
Looks great,
geoff!
Congratulations!
One of my favs!
And the price was ok too!
Congrats!
That's great Geoff, nice score! Ewen, I'll be interested to see what the outcome of that test is. My speakers are black, you can see it in my latest post about Transamguy's visit to Denver.
My 9000 beats all others in my collection for sheer sonic ability.

so what you guys are saying is that they did have black speaker and they could be original
Great score there!
My GF-9000 woofers are white. The black ones look totally hot!!!

its all coming out now
, tim was one of the switches a bit dodgy (been repaired) its the speaker / ext speaker, switch
yes geoff one got damaged in the post i dont mean to drop anyone in it but i guess i have now
im sorry realy but im back on the nector the say the truth comes out when you have been on the pop, geoff lad the main thing is youre happy with the sharp and you never know maybee the guy replaced the speakers from the same place diawa aquired his from.
geoffhartwell - 2008-10-23 14:31
yes i am happy with it, ive managed to sorce some original (white) speakers, i've heard that with original speakers that they dont sound to cleaver, but the ones that are in it now sound realy good, its a shame that the repaired switch dont fit to good, but im sure i can sort that out
And geoff im real sorry i diddnt send you those swiches lad i went on a total bender im lucky to be alive if there is any time i can help you giz a shout ok. personally geoff i would look at the speakers you have they may be origional all you have to to is bleach them white lad, what model no is yr gf9000 exactly? does it end in e, personally i wouldnt bother bying any other sharp speakers if yours sounds good, ask retro a and mee i had a gf9000 with white speakers and a 935 the sound wasnt worth commenting on it is so bad, go the paint rout or the bleach one.

Tim,
I was wondering if it was the same one.
I can't understand how painting the speakers would make it sound better though.
Yes I remember now, the three switches along the bottom (speaker selector, bass and treble) were missing their tips when I got it.
Geoff, if it is the one I had, you will see that the plastic part inside the back that the aerial base is attached to has been repaired.
Definitely leave the speakers black, it looks tight and contrasts nicely with the chrome protector bars.
