Thank You. I have more too, will post more pictures.
I need to get pictures of the Magnavox D8300 that I got yesterday, and some pictures of a Pioneer box, and I picked up a LLoyds double cassette with a 8-track player in it a couple days ago.
AMAZING! You like too much old radios eh? Nice stuff you have in that room man, And I noticed you have an ATARI 2600 console! Is it complete with joysticks, games, adapters? I like so much your 2600, my favorite game system ever!

Yes I have a complete Atari 2600 with controllers and tons of games. I actually bought a matching like late 70's woodgrain tv to go with it yesterday. I need to get some pictures of it. I want to hook it up and have a seperate old school tv to play Atari on.

They look like very nice "antiques". It's like you missed about 50 years. It goes from these 30's style radios to BAM, 80's-90's boomboxes
People on this forum collect, and appreciate all kinds of stuff, that's what I love about this forum
i love the old art deco syle radio's
Wow man, that's pretty cool. A total blast from the past right there.

Sorry for any duplicate pictures, I may have posted a couple I'm not sure. I will get some more pictures of some of my latest finds here soon and post them up. I have to go to work soon so I wont be doing it tonight but I will make sure to get them.

Me too, I love art deco style stuff.
Let me get a picture a second of my dresser in my bedroom, and my new 6 band I think that I bought to listen to next to my bed at night.
Heres my dresser in my bedroom, I keep buying components and just staking them there. It all started with the Nakamichi Rx-202 that I had to have this past summer. I bought the little tv at a thrift store a couple days ago.
Although bad pictures, heres 2 tv's I got yesterday at auction. The white one is a cool little Sharp, the other one is the one I bought to go with my Atari.
I also picked up these 2 radios yesterday..
And I got this 8 band Wards/Airline to go next to my bed. It picks up signal really good and I'm more than happy with it for the dollar I paid.
2 Boomboxes I bought this past summer, a Realistic and a Pioneer.
Heres the Lloyds with the 8-track player, bought at a thrift store a couple days ago.
awesome stuff there man.
Welcome to the site ALOW1.
That's an amazing collection of BBX great-great grandads you got there!!!
My D8300 Magnavox that I picked up yesterday. I havent cleaned it or anything yet. Its missing a volume slider and the antenna is broken but it plays real nice still.
A very big welcome to you! You have a stunning collection of what I can only imagine extends to the extremely rare. A great find with the wards/airline radio and yes perfect for the bedside.
If you become to boomboxes what you already are to old radios, well... I guess a lot of us will be shaking in our boots!
I hope you enjoy being here at s2go, and thank you very much indeed for showing us your wonderful collection.
I especially like the one in this picture which is sitting on top of the other on -

Thank you, I just went through your collection, you have some really cool boxes! I plan on hanging around this site for awhile. I might not post a whole lot but we will see. Since I have started to fall in love with the boomboxes I have been keeping my eyes open. I hope to find some more of them in the future.
I dont collect anything because of the value but I collect them because its what I like. I have noticed alot of people around here that seem to do the same.
Thanks for the props I have got so far from all of you. I really wasnt sure if people here would think the stuff was cool, being 31 years old, most of my friends though they dont come out and say it I think they think Im nuts...

Well, you've certainly come to the right place!
My girlfriend and I are looking for seperate places right now, so I can imagine my place will end up looking a little like yours. Right now the majority of my collection is in a small room at the back of the apartment. I can't wait to get my own place and display a lot more of them as you have.
A lot of the collectors here are also into collecting other radio/electronic related items. I also collect portable record players. So I can imagine most people here will have a genuine
interest in any cool collection.
That's really a very nice collection of older gear!In my quest for boomboxes,I too have broadened my scope a bit. It's unavoidable when you happen upon some of the nicely styled relics of the past in thriftstores and pawnshops.Your older tabletop radios in particular are really nice artifacts of the style from the eras they represent.
Personally,I have a weak spot for late 70s receivers.Specifically I'm meaning the kind with the opaque black glass on the front that have the bright green tuner band markings show through when you power them up.Whenever I see them at Goodwill I will buy them.Currently I have 3.Usually I leave tape decks alone unless they are upmarket.I too think vintage tabletop radios are really too nice to pass up particularly if in good condition so I do have a few already.
You have a very interesting collection of televisions also. How many of them actually work? The real issue with older T.V.s is that we're all used to higher definition screens these days. This makes them really only useful as artistic pieces of industrial design.Though some of them are pretty cool looking, personally I wouldn't have the space. It's great to see someone willing to save them for future generations to appreciate!
some nice historical boxes, i'm sure the antique road show will tell u ,u have soem serious money in those
Retro Mania!!!! Seriously Cool!!!
very cool indeed! i love that 1950's rca victor slide o matic 45 rpm record player...i have one just like it

I want to visit your house!
The 1930's Art Deco radios are great!

What a great unit it is indeed. I had it hooked up to a matching red RCA a few years back. It plays really nice and it really is a cool item.
