Some Of My Stuff

jlf - 2008-03-24 20:29

Talk about content heavy!!!

Nice thread! I enjoy looking at all your stuff!

As everyone can tell I love the old stuff.

The Boomboxes, well to be honest I hate them!

What a bad addiction this is, I cant stop buying them when I see them here and there. I have some more pictures that I will post soon.

I have recently picked up a Grundig #2066 (circa 1957-58) in a light blond wood color. Its gorgeous and I am in love with it Smile

I will have to post a pic of the Grundig. I love it, they are a very well made radio.

As for the TV Box, I have them up for grabs on eBay. I am going to sell alot of them as I am getting married and moving.

Good luck on your marriage Alow1 and on your auctions. Smile

Good luck for the future ALOW1, but please try not to sell any of your monkeys. Keep on giving them a nice and safe home, at least for the monkeys sake.

Rock On.

very nice collection, I found a guy over near me that has a small shop next to a flea market that repairs all the vintage radios tv's etc like you posted, he sells them also he has quite a few of them in his store, He actually is repairing my Akai reel to reel right now but he repaired my friends Akai r 2 r a few months ago. I got to see his house and he has like 4 or 5 of the old wooden tv's and radios in each room of his house. Out back he actually works out of a tree house!! He has all old test equipment that he has repaired, he told me he likes to use old test equipment when working on the old electronics, but he did say he has state of the art equipment in his garage where he repairs video editing equipment and related. His background is from radio station transmitter repairs, etc. I'll have to see if he'll let me take pics in his shop one day.

Thank you and thank you again. This girl means a lot to me. She doesnt care if I keep them or not but I am trying to make less clutter for the both of us since we will be moving.

Thanks.

Someday I hope to live in a tree house. But dont we all? lol

You should get some pictures.

Thank you.

My girl told me that I didnt have to sell anything. She said if thats what makes you happy then I am ok with it, she said dont sell them because you think I dont like them.

So shes cool, I could not ask for somebody to be more understanding about my radio/junk collecting.

But even though I love all these radios and things I have to think about the both of us. When we get married in May of this next year we will be selling this house that I am in and her house that she is in.

I am sure the house we will buy will be bigger then this one but I still have to keep in mind that she will be living there too. So why should she have to be cleaning and dusting all of these things and why should I clutter up our house with all my stuff?

So I decided to sell most of them off. The radios are not the biggest problem either. I have 2 cars in the garage getting frame off restorations. This move is going to be a huge pain in my well...

But she will be worth it and after selling them all, I'm sure someday I will buy more lol.

Kinda random but back in the day (2 years ago or so) I sold my Astro. I used to drive this daily with a wall of 16 10's in it. These pictures are right before I sold it, after it got damaged in a bad storm we had.
