Thanks Ramon for your advice they were a value to me.
Thanks JVC floyd yeah she's a keeper!
its easy to see these are good boxes cuz people actually take care of them ,not like the cheaper boxes that are all beat up lol.
WOW thats really nice Ford. Congrats,I would love to have one of those.
That is a beautiful box! I am so glad it has been brought back to former glory!
Hats off to your tech guy, he must be really good.. wish I knew someone around here!

Juan I am glad she was everything you expected.
You are now part the very Elite Funken Hifi club
Dare I ask but
How do you like the sound quality compared to the ole M-90 ?
Oh BTW it looks Dead beautifull
Damn! Awsome man! I need to get off the pot and finish getting my chocaolate Studio 1 going!
TA glad to hear from you really!
Man to compare the 1M to the M90 hmmm, I'll tell you what the M-90 is a loud box with good Bass.
The 1M has a more warm sound you can't raise the Bass too much as it will distort, but like the HP 800 I love the quality of these boomboxes. I'am not the least disapointed with the Telefunkens they are awesome!
I'm glad I managed to get two top of the line Telefunkens they are true HiFi!

this model is so beautiful and expensive and great ---------
and HEAVY --that probably no original owners ever took them outside --
almost every one we see is near mint.
This one has been on my wanted list for awhile now... just never pulled the trigger. It has the look I like, that's for sure!
Someday... someday...
It looks great! I never wanted one of these, but your pics are making me change my mind. Last year i passed on one of these for $40 missing one speaker...i'm such an idiot for not buying it

Thanks everyone for your comments.
Dam GS
you had a chance in owning one, not too long ago there was an auction for two complete 1m speakers that was sold cheap!

Hi Ford-Beautiful-I love it!
BTW-I like that your using some TDK MA-R reference cassettes.I love em'-Super tapes.
I'm glad you got it going!
Have a great time listening to your German Hi-Fi Unit!-GB.
Sweeeet!!!!
Looks like the wait was worth it... I'm very happy for you Juan, and maybe even a tad jealous!
Ted at Audio Laboratories in Tampa really is a great tech. He's professional, patient, and most imporantly, honest. In the last 8 years he has repaired several Technics 1200's, a Sony DAT deck, a Behringer DX1000 DJ mixer, an RCF powered PA speaker, a Yamaha R-9 receiver and most recently my Nakamichi RX-303.
His next project for me will be the repair of a Sansui AU-717 integrated amp.
I haven't taken any boomboxes to him yet... I thought I'd get Juan to guinea pig that for me
(Just kidding, Juan...)
I do feel fortunate to have found someone of his caliber. With the attitudes leaning so much toward disposable electronics nowadays, it is becoming more and more difficult to find reliable and talented repair techs. And yes, I do think it takes talent.
Thanks for referring him JT he really took his time in fixing my baby props to Ted.
Man, that is a sweet box!
I like how you're showing off the MA-R and MA-XG on top of that last pic!! I missed that the first time around.
What tape is actually loaded and playing?
Yes.
Its my fav box for sound, and funny that yours distorts when you turn up the bass, mine keeps on going and going. It murders my M90 in my opinion. You can here it from 4 floors up too!
Looks mighty fine, well done.
JT it was the TDK SA-XG a very rare tape to find. I only have one
I should have bought more back then. They are great tapes and I love that brown tint.
Beatbox don't get me wrong it does have rich bass, but keep in mind when you're playing house music you really can't have it all the way down to +5.
