Who knows the boom box product name for the header image above. I've been looking for a boom box from 83 that I wanted to purchase and it was sold out. I was saving up for it when I was 18, and the image above kind of looks like it. I ended getting a toshibe with the remote control in 1983. The one I had my heart set on was a Fisher. I only remember that it had some real nice speakers like the ones above, it had some serious base for the day and the panel with all the knobs had a 45 degree angle to it. I've been searching Google forever but can't seem to find an image of it.
The box in the banner is the Sharp CT-6001.

so I posted pic of Fisher PH470.
but I can't see it.
jrgman please google Fisher PH470 or Sanyo MR-P6, they are the same units with diffrent badges.
Or this sort of thing?
Sorry Metad, didn't mean to sabotage your response, try again, it should be working.
no worries Agent.
sorry, I dont wanna try again, cause i've tried five or six times, and it doesn't work properly
The Sanyo P6 was the same as the Fisher PH-470. Was it this box?

Man, you guys are awesome. You don't know how long I've been trying to remember the model. Yes that's the one. I remember going to Sears and jamin the beats on that stereo. Now I wish someone had one for sale. I'd buy it.

totaly agree with RR.. That Sharp CT-6001 looks so great.. Never seen a bbx with a colour TV. Retro, is it yours? Can you tell us more about this model?
p.s. can't say, i'm a smiley fan, but i really miss "word!" and those two drunk smileys too
This is a very old auction photo from Yahoo Japan, I don't own one, but I think Paul does. I have a brochure scan somewhere with the specs, but I think It was Japanese domestic only. I see the other half of your name is back
Also, the smileys will be back once it's enabled
Ok, the text may be a little hard to read, but this what I have.
I remember back then b/w and color tvs being popular.
