Excellent restoration job, Stormin Normin! Like davebush said (and like the other Stereo2Go members allude), the results do justice to all your hard work. You'd think the unit was moderately used rather than damaged and heavily used before restoration. That Sanyo M7830K looks like a really interesting jambox. The twin sets of speakers suggest POWER, the twin-ended carrying handle is quite unusual and the overall look has a pleasing interplay of angularity and chrome accents. Then again, it doesn't seem to tune shortwave or have a (three-digit) tape counter (aww!). But never fear! You STILL did real good fixing that 'box up.

Look closely at the 2nd video. It does indeed have 3-digit tape counter. And secondly, it also has 2 shortwave bands as well. So it's a 4 band tuner.

Ahh, my mistake, Stormin. Before posting the message, I did have an idea that I was wrong in assuming the unit was a no-shortwave, no-tape-counter unit. But I guess I took a chance in venturing (hopefully) mild criticism. I note also that, with 20 watts of power, your M-7830K has twice the power of my decidedly smaller, monaural (and essentially chrome-free) Sanyo M-1770K that I bought new in some Manhattan, New York City electronics store around 2000 (around forty bucks pre-tax, and no tape counter ). But, again, VERY good restoration work, friend (and nice presentation in the second video!).
