Yeah i have written a few people been reading forum what not, i found out the older Sony's when stored or age tend to get a sticky reside on them this is how mine was but i managed to get it off the handle and the two front of cassetes A& B. It really has a wonderful mind blowing sound for being 21 years old. Now that i cleaned it up it looks new i'll post pictures later. My hubby thinks im going boombox crazy but i always have been. I also have been reading some people are looking for a Vintage AIWA or JVC boom boxs the best places to find some are GARAGE SALES believe it or not you wont believe some people get so lucky. And Whats even better is when you get sold a item for so cheap and it's worth well more than they are asking and you still talk them down. Just because a boombox gets older does'nt mean its getting crappy, it's how good you take care of your Radio and maintain it asap when it breaks down if it does. But actually Vintage has always been a thing for me. I was a Power Seller on a site before my last child was born 5 years ago. I use to sell so much vintage but not radios. like the sweaters with fur collars and Handbags.

boombox crazy is an under statement  it's an addiction...... That is a really nice sony i do have a similar one but i think with different woofer's though and they do have some really nice sound and not bad looking either. keep hunting and they will find you

I bought this model new in the summer of 1991.

The box and remote control are long gone,but I still have the manual.

It was a really good sounding unit and cost about $450.00.
