i've had many 9090s,nice solid little box..i still have a 9191,and i've had many 9494s,i love the 9494,the only reason i never keep them is because the ones i get are always in poor condition..i love the 9696 too,they are the nicest model of all of that range..

the 9696 is on my wishlist

I turned down one for 55 quid coz it was missing the door and was "unconfirmed" working (I hate vague ebayers)

and the condition of the Idler wheel tire behind the plate inside the cassette deck well that switches between the fast-forward or take-up spindle or the rewind spindle or reel, is?   This is the tire that goes bad and there is NO Longer a replacement part for it unless you have the very same one rebuilt or if you had the foresight knowledge of his issue and had the Idler tire replaced with the polyurethane Newer part back when it was available
