And that yellow Sony Sports was my box in college, lol.  I was too cheap to buy anything better.

My favourite box is in there under a different name?? Teleton I've never heard of this nameplate. Was it manufactured by Jutan International Limited (JIL)??

I recently took mine out and posted a pic with it and a few of my other boxes...I love that box!!! Can you tell me more about it (ie where you got it, when...etc)

ive just dug it back out brutus,i cant find jutan international stamped anywhere,ive uploaded the sticker on the back of the unit.

got mine last summer with a couple of other boxes in a deal on ebay.

i think its a good box a keeper for sure.

Awesome collection Bison, how do you like the sound of the Rotel?

Both Citizen and Candle were made Jutan International Limited. They were very popular here in Canada and many were sold by Consumers Distributing but also other electronics stores sold both too.

My personal grail that i've been looking for about 15 years for is a very high powered and rare 3-piece Candle because both myself and my cousin owned one each when we were around 15-16 years old. It retailed for $400.00 + taxes and was the highest priced and most powerful Candle branded boombox ever.

Consumers is where my Candle came from but I was unaware it was sold abroad as Teleton. I've never heard that brand ever. I wonder how many other AKA's  are out there that we know as Candle/ Citizen?

Do you have a pic of that 3 piece Candle Chris? I don't recall a multipiece unit from Candle...then again my mind is going I'd love to see it....

You would never find this $400.00 Candle at Consumers Distributing lol. It puts all the other Candle's to shame big time. Not big but very high power and high end with an Auto-Reverse deck. The woofers were 20 watt and the tweeters 30 watt

the rotel has static/white noise on one chanel the working chanel has great sound and good bass i can see why they are sort after,

i was thinking of getting someone to have a look at it..belts are the limit for me

I have an Amstrad 3 piece with pop out walk man that was sold under the Candle brand.

You have shocked me bison...as far as im aware you havn't been colecting that long..and you have more than me....nice job....well done....

yes i42 i can confirm the wilco is a stunning,heavy,built like a tank box as ive seen it in the flesh-all the buttons you mentioned there are the presets for different radio station choices i believe.....ill go as far as saying i suspect it was at least m70 money when it was new-but good luck bagging it-its andys pride and joyand i cant say i blame him-what a box

thought i would upload some snaps of the boxes ive aquired since i posted this thread,

a lot of the above boxes have gone and i no longer buy up cheap units when i find them on flea markets,
