I hear what you're saying about your job Lee, I wouldn't go as far as saying I hate mine but it is a bit 'serious' so boxes are an excellent escape!! ...and boy have you done some escaping!!!!!

What`s the deal, with the WX-1?. Have the passives, been replaced with drivers. If so, then how`s it sound?

Yes lit I have changed the passive speakers for drivers but it still sounds shit! Love the look of the box but its a let down in the sound department, I'm going to mess around with it a bit more to see if I can improve the sound!

Assuming you haven't connected the bigger woofers up to the sound output & they're behaving as passive radiators (as intended), those bigger woofers might be too stiff to be effective as passives. Also, if the speaker boxes aren't fully sealed, they won't work so well. What size are the passives, 5" - 6" ? Perhaps there are some new passives available that will fit

I have connected them to work from the amp like the smaller speakers, it's just crap on the bass that's why I changed the passive speakers thinking this would solve the problem! :0(

That, I suspect, is your problem. 

Have a look online to find some new passive radiators that'll fit. Or, if you still have the originals, they can be re-foamed.

 

This boomer usually gets very good reports on sound quality (if not outright volume)...

there's nothing wrong with the original passive's, they just don't handle to much bass!

maybe i expect to much out of it
