Hello.
I too recently acquired one of these. Not quite as pretty as yours and it needed some TLC but it is a lovely machine. Enjoy.

nice looking box in really good nick!...what does it sound like?
lav.loo - 2012-10-16 10:13
thanks for the positive comments guys
in answer to your question on the sound Si, i can say it sounds very good, not big on bass but a nice all round balanced sound.
the highs are very crisp and the stereo wide setting almost makes the music sound live.
it has proper line in too which is always a bonus

yeah but i'm still wanting a selector switch cover for the stereo wide switch, then it's 100%, apart from the deck needing a belt

good pics as always bro-shes looking very nice, and from these pics you can really see the seventies quality in the 8900-well ok,maybe its 1980/81 but it looks built like my aiwa 920.....in other words brick like
lav.loo - 2012-10-17 03:34
hey less of the seventies it's dated 81
andyboombox - 2012-10-17 03:55
i know bro-ive got a thing with seventies boxes right now.....especially the aiwa tpr 950who knows.....perhaps ill grow a long moustache, and start acting like a throw back from a cheap porn filmprobably more chance of that happening than me getting a 950
lav.loo - 2012-10-17 04:14
